Description
6.5% ALCOHOL; 40 IBU’S Serve between 4ºC and 8ºC
Indian Pale Ale (IPA)
- Color: It varies from a deep amber to a reddish color, due to the additional caramelized malts used in its preparation.
- Taste: intense hops, with citrus, floral and tropical fruit notes.
The presence of more caramelized malts will result in a more complex and rich flavor profile. Traces of caramel and nuts. These flavors are balanced with the bitterness of the hops and will share a balanced presence with the citrus and floral essential oils. - Beer body: Medium, with a more substantial mouthfeel due to additional caramelized malts. It can have a slightly denser, silkier texture compared to other more standard IPAs.
- Bitterness: medium.
Pairing
This innovative IPA with caramelized malts can pair well with savory and rich dishes such as grilled meats, gourmet burgers, strong cheeses and chocolate or caramel based desserts. It can also be an interesting addition to spicy or intensely flavored dishes. For vegans, we could recommend marinated mushroom tacos, chickpea and avocado salad, roasted aubergines with tahini or a falafel and vegetable wrap.
Main ingredients
Malts: base, slightly caramelized malts, in different degrees and quantities, wheat flakes and oats.

Yeast: British high attenuation.
Water: decalcified, osmotized and with a medium concentration of salts.

Lots of hops, especially in the final stages of cooking. Hot and cold dry hops.
Origin and tradition
IPA is a style of beer that has its roots in the United Kingdom, specifically in the brewing of heavily hopped beers to withstand the long journey to India during the British colonial era. While this innovative version may deviate a bit from traditional IPAs, it remains part of the rich IPA brewing tradition.
